You Failed!
“You have failed!”
Those dreaded words we have feared throughout school, in business, in relationships but most of all as an over all judgement on our life. We had and maybe still have nightmares about those words being spoken to us by teachers or bosses or lovers or all three. But who gets to tell us that we have failed at life?
Certainly not a teacher, boss or lover. They may have known us for quite some time but were they with us every second of our life? Could they have missed the highlights of life? Of course they could have so let’s rule them out. How about parents? Same answer. Okay, so who can we trust to pass judgement on our life?
Certainly not someone who was there for just a part of it. Certainly not someone who was uninformed as to what all of our thoughts and intentions were. Certainly not that voice inside our head that changes with every thought. Then who is qualified to make that judgement? God. Qualified? Definitely!
Okay, so if God is the only entity in existence that can judge our success or failure then we can absolutely refuse to pay attention to anyone else including that voice in our head. And if our life really can’t be judged until the end and our spirit is immortal then judgement is going to have to wait for a really long time. In the meantime, there are corrections and guidance given for eternity. And after eternity, even if we are a really slow learner, judgement of our existence should look pretty good.
All we have to do is pay attention to the corrections and heed the guidance and who knows after all is said and done, we all might be on the honor roll.
